Florida

Chris and I went to Orlando for his last Spring Break!!
The Barlows joined us on Thursday to celebrate the sun with us.
Here we are at Hollywood Studios

At Gatorland, Chris was picked from the audience to hold the big gross snake. When Chris came back to his seat, I covered him in hand sanitizer. I wasn't able to watch because I hate snakes. Thanks to Matt we have pictures. I also had nightmares after seeing this show.

Kristen and I in front of some gators.
Matt, Kristen, and I in front of a lake full of gators.

Gatorland was the best!

Here we are at Cocoa Beach

We met up with the Costley family at the beach.
Kerri, Kristen and I were trying to stay warm. We all got in the water though.

Costley Girls and Chris playing in the sand

We went to Sea World on day. Here we are just after feeding the dolphins.
We had so much fun with the Barlows and Costleys. It was really hard to leave 80's to come back to Michigan and have it snow the day we arrive. Hopefully this week will make us last for another 2 months of winter.

Chris Got Stoned

So sad, yes it is true. Yesterday Chris spend the day in the Emergency Clinic and in bed with kidney stones. Here is a picture with him and the strainer to catch the pee. What fun!! We are hoping it passes quickly.

Christmas in Connecticut

Last week we were finally able to fly back to Connecticut to see my mom and celebrate Christmas with her. She kept all the decorations up for us, even the tree (which amazingly was still alive). While we were back there we explored the east coast with them.

Here we are after opening presents

We went up to Newport, RI where the rich people back in the early 1900 use to come for the summer. I would now be compared to the Hamptons.

This is the Breakers masion that the Vanderbilt's built. It was huge.

Then we went to NYC for the day. We saw Xanadu, a broadway play with was really funny. Then we went to Little Italy and had some yummy food.

Rockefeller Plaza

This is a picture of us at a harbor in Conneticut. I was so cold.

President Hinckely

We Will Miss You

Our hearts are heavy today to learn of the passing of this amazing man. As we reflect back on all he has done and the great impact that he has had on both of our lives. We also know that he is where he wants to be with his wonderful wife. We can only imagine the joy he had when he saw her again. We love, honor, and cherish everything that he has done.

You were generals in the War in Heaven and one day when you are in the spirit world, you will be enthralled by those you are associated with. You will ask someone in which time period they lived and you might hear, 'I was with Moses when he parted the Red Sea,' or 'I helped build the pyramids,' or 'I fought with Captain Moroni.' And as you are standing there in amazement, someone will turn to you and ask you which of the prophets' time did you live in? And when you say 'Gordon B. Hinckley' a hush will fall over every hall and corridor in Heaven, and all in attendance will bow at your presence. You were held back six thousand years because you were the most talented, most obedient, most courageous, and most righteous.
Elder Boyd K. Packer

Tagged Again

RULES:
1.The player lists 6 facts/habits about themselves - try to find 6 you haven't already posted about!
2. At the end of the post, the player tags 6 people and posts their names, and then goes to their blog and leaves them a comment, letting them know they have been tagged and asking them to read.

Here you go Jocee:

1. I love to play Nintendo. My favorite game right now is Halo 3. I love playing on-line and playing the levels. I know this seems like a totally boy thing, but I love it.

2. I have started to really like tomatoes. This is a new thing for me as of a 1 year ago. My favorite thing is to toast some bread with mozzarella cheese in the oven. Then put tomatoes, fresh basil, olive oil, salt and pepper on it. It is so yummy. I actually just had it for lunch today.

3. I love my job. I have a confession. I like the really sick babies. I get the biggest adrenalen rush out of taking care of them and seeing what I do makes them better (most of the time). The sicker the better.

4. I love a clean house. It makes me feel so good. I also like cleaning it. I put my I-Pod on shuffle and go to town. It feels so good.

5. One of favorite thing to do on a cold day (which in Michigan it happens a lot). I get in a hot tub with candles and read the latest issue of Real Simple. I love being warm and relaxing.

6. I hope to one day go back to school and get my Nurse Practitioner. It might be soon or it might be in 10 years. It is just one of my goals.

Well I am done, my turn to tag people.... Elizabeth Elder, Sharon Thacker, Ashley Cottle, Lisa Quinn, Hailey Richards, and Mindy Smith. Get going Ladies. It is fun and quick to do.

Connecticut

In August my mom moved to Connecticut. I was really bummed when she did. But this past week I went to go visit her. She is so close to so many cool things. Here are a few pictures from all the great adventures we had.

Here we are in Rockefeller Park in NYC. It was so much fun trying to see everything in one day. We just hopped on a train and boom we were in NYC.
Chris had an interview in NYC while we were there. We met up for lunch and the NY Stock Exchange.

Here I am at Time Square

This is the beach 10 minutes away from my mom's house. Isn't she so lucky??

Since I am going to be working Halloween night. I decided to have a party while I was there with Chips' Kids (George and Annie), my mom, and Chip. Here we are with our Carmel Apples.

We also carved pumpkins. Here are our creations. Pretty scary, huh?

On Saturday we went to Boston. This was my first time to Boston. They had a huge pumpkin carving station at Government Square. There were thousand and thousand of carved pumpkins on display. It was all for a charity to help terminally ill kids.

Of course we walked the freedom trail. Here I am a Paul Revere's grave. The one on the left is before Longbottom wrote the poem and the one on the right it after.
We also went to the fancy vacation town, Newport, Rhode Island. They had huge mansions. We had lunch right on the water.
I love the east coast. It was so fun seeing a few places and just being with my mom. She lives in a great place. I hope I can go visit her more.

Bradford off to Oklahoma

Here we are after Bradford's farewell. He did such a great job. I am so proud of him. He is going to be a great missionary.

Here are the families in front of the famous MTC sign. We had a great time. It wasn't as bad as I thought. Bradford is ready and is really excited. We are all so proud of him.

Here is Elder Davis with his "dork dot".
We love you Bradford.
We will miss you.

Jam!!

So I must first start by saying that I am an awful cook. (Last night I ruined a meal, that's why Chris cooks and I stick to the dishes). Anyways some of my friends and I went raspberry picking today, there were so many raspberries. Then I came home and made homemade raspberry jam on my own. And I think it turned out, yea!! I am so excited that I did something right in the kitchen. And this is Chris' favorite, homemade raspberry jam.

Happy Birthday Chris!!

Chris loves the Yankees and how convenient that they were in town playing our own Tigers. Here we are at the game sporting our twinner shirts. We had great seats (thanks mom). Too bad the Yankees didn't play that well.
But GO TIGERS!!

Then on the actual day of his birthday we to PF Changs with the Elders (thanks Sharon for babysitting). We had so much fun at dinner just chit chatting. As you can see the girls were on the same side. Happy Birthday Chris!

NASCAR

NASCAR

So NASCAR comes to Michigan every year. We decided that we should finally see what all the fuss was about. We had so much fun. It was so extremely loud. When the cars went by they just shook the stands. It was amazing how fast they were going. And one of my favorite parts was the people watching. Every stereotype this sport gets, it is true 100%. If you look closely at the picture on the right, you can see a guy with his shirt off, hairy chest/back, and a beer in a coozey. There were mulits everywhere. It was great.

Can you see we have ear plugs in? You could hear each other talk even if you were right next to there ear. That is how loud it was.

We went with our good friends Ryan and Collin. Collin did such a great job. We told him we were going to see Lighting McQueen from Cars.

The stands and the cars coming around turn 4
There were 3 crashes!!

Pit Stop.

The Winner, #20, doing donuts

Here we are on the actual track. You could see marks in the road from the tires and the crashes.

Summer Fun

Summer Utah Trip

Here we doing some classic putt-putt at Cherry Hills

My friends threw Hailey a baby shower. It was so fun to see all the girls and catch up. I miss all of you girls.

Here we are having a blast at the Real Game.

Here is the Princess, Marquel giving me smiles. She has changed so much. It was a blast being with her. She is more aware of what is going on now.

Chris is tearing it up skiing at Schofield

Here is the classic blessing photo. I was so happy that they did it while I was there. She is definitely a blessing in our lives.

Here is the family. We were all there. Can you believe how big we are?? Total of 11, crazy. But I love being in a big family.

Chris after a hard days work of skiing.

Bud and I at Lake Powell

Here we are both trying to surf. It is really hard to find the sweet spot to let go of the rope. But it is fun to do, even though neither one of us found the spot to let go.

Girls at the Lake

I love skiing here. The water is so warm. You can be in it all day long.

Last but not least we did have our classic game of WAR. Here is Chris and I on the banana.
