Tribute to Bear

Bear
1998-2008
Today my Mom and Chip had to put our family dog down because he was so sick. Bear was the best dog. He was just like a human. He understood everything that we would say. He loved being scratched. He would come up to you and put his head under your hand so that you could pet him. He would continue to do it until you did pet him.

This was his favorite pose. He would sleep like this.

He was a Golden Retriever. He was great at retrieving balls and sticks. The funny thing is that he would never give them back so you could throw it again.

Bear you were a wonderful friend and the best dog. You were always so full of life.

We are going miss you.

Happy Days

So for those of you that don't know. Chris was accepted last week to Endodontic School here at the University of Michigan. We are so proud of him, it was no easy task. So we are going to be staying in Ann Arbor for three more years. We are so excited and truly blessed.

This is what Chris will be doing
Here is a picture of a root canal.
And hopefully the football team will be better in the next couple of years

Connecticut

Zach and Grandma J snugglin'

So we were boiling Zach's bottle because my mom has well water. This is what happens when you forget about them. The fire alarm went off and everything. Oops:)

Zach turned 3 months old while we were in Connecticut. My mom and I made him a cake. We blew out the candles and of course we ate it too. It was yummy. Can't believe that my little boy is already 3 months old.
Just a side note, the jammies that he is wearing are 9 months. I can't keep up with this kid and the amount of clothes he out grows.

Going home picture. Bear is barking in the background, that is why we have such a concerned look on Zach's face. It was so nice being in Connecticut, especially for me. My mom did everything with Zach. I just fed him and then caught up on some much needed rest.
Check out my mom's blog to see more pics.

Utah

Zach and I ventured on our first plane ride to Utah. Let me say, traveling with an infant is much different and a lot hard than flying solo. I could go on and on about the troubles, but I won't bore you.
We were so excited to get there and see everyone. This was the first time that majority of our families were able to meet Zach.

Natalie and Zach catching some rest. It was so fun spending time with Natalie. She was a big help. She came to help one entire day. We were so excited that she was put on-call for work. Thanks for the much needed help.

Nat, Em and Zach. Zach is watching TV. It is his favorite thing to do. I know, I know I shouldn't do it, but he loves the light.

Aunt Marquel all grown up!! It is crazy that Zach has an Aunt that is just one year older. She was so sweet with Zach. She called him "Ba" for baby.

Here we are at Training Table with my cousins Jenna and Lindsay and my Grandma Davis (Grandma Marge to Zach). It was fun catching up.

Grandma and Grandpa Nelson loved holding Zach and talking to him.

One of the many great things about having a little sister that is 18 months old is when we go to my dad's house they have all the stuff we need (bobby, swing, play gym, bouncy, etc). Here Zach is playing. At home we only have two toys. I know he is going to love going to Grandma and Grandpa Davis house.

Kelly (Grandma Davis) Em and Zach

Kristen and I with our little ones. Zach and Addie are 2 weeks apart.

It is a good thing Zach is a boy. He was a lot bigger than sweet little Addie.

Grandma and Grandpa T with their great-grand kids.
We had a great time seeing everyone and also introducing Zach to snow. It snowed at least 8 inches while we were there.

Halloween

Ward Halloween Party.
If you can't tell Zach is a dragon. We loved this little costume. Well it was not so little it was size 12 -18 months. We love our little dragon.

Halloween

Zach's first experience trick or treating. We went with some friends and their kids. It was fun just to walk around with them. Maybe next year Zach will get some candy.

Grandma and Grandpa Sadler Visit

Grandpa Sadler and Zach

Grandma Sadler is trying to make Zach smile.

Us at Dexter Cider Mill. We had yummy donuts and apple cider.

One of the many things we love about Michigan is the fall. The leaves are always so bright.

Zach just hanging out trying to stay warm.
It was so much fun having Grandma and Grandpa Sadler here.

2 Months Old

Zach turns 2 Months old tomorrow, but today we celebrated early with a Pediatrician appointment and immunizations. What fun :)

Here is the classic band-aid on his thigh. He was not a happy camper.

Still mad. I took some feeding and cuddling to finally calm him down.

Finally asleep.

Another sleepless night for the two of us.

So as I am sure you can tell Zachary is growing really well.

Here is the proof:

Weight: 14 lb 5 oz (97%)

Height: 24 1/2 inches (94%)

Head Circumference: 16.4 inches (89%)

All around he is definitely on the bigger side. But we love every piece of him. Chris always comes home from work and swears he is bigger. It is probably true. It has been a great two months we can't wait for more. Zach is the best thing that has happen to us.

Little Zach

The weather is turning cooler in Ann Arbor. Here he is sporting a hat that Aunt Natalie made for him to keep him warm.
Zach and Elizabeth
They are 5 weeks apart. This was their first time meeting. What a difference 5 weeks makes. We are so excited for hanging out with Elizabeth and her mom, Anne.

Zach starting to smile. He has been doing it quite frequently, but we can never seem to catch it on camera.

3 Joys:
1- Chris
2- Zachary
3- Hanging out with Family and Friends

3 Fears:
1- Losing any of my family
2- Snakes
3- Big Snakes

3 Current Obsessions:
1- Story time with Zach
2- Netflix
3- Diet Dr. Pepper (lots of it because I don't get enough sleep)

3 Surprising Facts:
1- I love to play Nintendo, especially Halo with my Hubby
2- I can't cook
3- I can't park a car. In a huge parking lot with a whole bunch of open space, I still struggle. And never as me to paralle park. I would rather pay or walk an extra mile. And the sad thing is, I have been driving for over 10 years.

I tag: Elizabeth, Lisa, and Kristin

We had some professional pics taken of Zach and the Fam. Here are a couple. It is going to be so hard to choose which ones to get printed. Jess did such a great job with him. We love them. Thanks Jess!!

Zach One Month Old

Here is our little dude. For those of you who haven't seen him on a daily basis, he is growing like a weed. The shirt he has on is a 3-6 month shirt. As you can see it fits perfect and he is just a month old. He is out of all the 0-3 month clothes and most of the 3 month clothes. It is all due to his length.
Story time
